I'm still alive!
Actually I'm currently creating a visual novel. [link]

What is a visual novel? It's a mix of multimedia files that create a fine piece of media, so that you can have multiple stories from a main story. It features sound effects, music, CGs, cinema-like screenplaying...
Visual novels range in every field. They can be the frame for dating games (aka bishoujo game or Ren'Ai game), interactive sound novels (like 蜩のなくころに Higurashi no naku koro ni), epic fantasy stories (like Fate/Stay Night)...

My current project is named 砂と魔女 (suna to majo).
It's a word of play in japanese, suna means sand and majo means witches; thus sand & witches...

The main story is quite simple: in the far future, humankind left the old solar system to other ones, their life is eased by entities known as "Servers". They handle their daily chores, keep the whole humankind together, guide their intersystem transporters...
So far so good.
Takeshi Minamo is an ordinary boy who grew in the main space station, placeholder of human relationships, Hummingbird.
He soon discovers a main plot that will change his vision of contemporary life.
Weird entities, alien occurences and space warping will be there.

There will be over 7 main characters for the first chapter.
The whole story would have 3 Great Chapters.
Each great chapter has small divisions, which are variable, but have more or less 14 episodes.

So far, I've managed to write 80% of the first chapter, drawn 31 of the first chapter (characters and background), and I'm currently composing music for this.

I'm using a dedicated engine which is named Ren'Py, coded by PyTom, available at [link]
It features great ways for creating stories and has great feedbacks through the forum.

I might ask for help in CG in the future :)

See you soon readers!

Well, character designing is quite easy and I think anyone with imagination is able to draw cute characters... But I'm not able to create great CGs yet because I don't have the eye set for dynamics (my characters are too static).
And I don't dare expose my CGs... Coloring is very difficult.
